FutureBet Software ReviewIt is both ironic and appropriate that this software provider's name begins with the letters F and U. The graphics used in most FutureBet games are actually quite impressive, but the same cannot be said about the company itself. FutureBet has been a thorn in the side of the online gaming industry for a long time. For more about FutureBet's history, I recommend this article . They offer four video poker games, with paytables that match their reputation. And there is something fishy about their Double-Up feature. In it, a card appears and starts spinning, and the player must select whether the card is "High (8 and up)" or "Low (7 and down)". The problem is, they don't answer the obvious question about how the deck is balanced. Assuming a fair game with a single 52-card deck, there would be 24 "Low" cards and 28 "High" cards, meaning that the player would have a 7.6923% edge by always selecting High. Obviously this can't be what is happening (unless this is why most FutureBet startups go broke). The help page which describes the double-up feature distracts the reader with smoke and mirrors, so one can only speculate how it works. Video Poker Games
