Double Joker Poker uses a 54-card deck, consisting of the regular 52 cards and two Jokers. The starting hand in Single Joker games is usually Kings or Better, a Pair of Aces, or Two Pair, but with Double Joker Poker it is always Two Pair.

In games with a Single Joker, Five of a Kind is more valuable than a Wild Royal Flush. This is because there is only one way to complete a Five of a Kind hand per rank, resulting in only 13 possible Five of a Kind hands. A Wild Royal Flush can be completed in one of five ways per suit, resulting in 20 possible Wild Royal Flush hands. In Double Joker Poker, the order of these two hands is swapped because there are six ways to complete a Five of a Kind hand per rank, resulting in 78 combinations, and 15 ways to complete a Wild Royal Flush per suit, resulting in 60 combinations.
